James According to the Estate settlement, John ( son of James and Joan) Regon left unnamed children. It took 9 years to come to settlement...probably waiting for youngest to come to age of either 14 or 21...whatever. His widow was admx. She then remarries hubby #3 and becomes Eliz Carroll. She was first the widow of John Wood Jr. This is important because John Wood Jr and Elizabeth had a son John, who died young, in 1740. Elizabeth is named as his mother in that estate settlement. As witnesses to this disbursement, there was present: the mother, two half sisters, and two half brother the sibs, unnamed, of the deceased. The only half siblings John Wood jr could possibly have were the children of Elizabeth Wood Regon Carroll and her second hubby John Regon. So.... there was 5 kids of this union...2 are female, One John Jr Regon died in 1728, that leaves 2 males as sons of John Regon Jr who were alive in Charles Co MD in 1740. There is also a John in 1737 that I suspect is one of Mathew's. The McDaniel name marks this as of "our" group of Rgns. William and Charles, both sons of James and Joan, both have sons named John who begin in VA. See will below...this has to be a son of Mathew and Sarah, as the others are dead or gone and John Rgn Jr. is unlikely to name 2 sons by one wife , John.
