Those Reagins, however you spell it, are some who left Newberry when the Quakers left in the early 1800's. They are descendents of John Reagin (1745-1800) and Elizabeth Edwards (1743-aft. 1800). John Reagin, Jr. (1773-1803) married Synthia Gilbert (1783-1840) who married Jacob Lewis and moved to Tennessee. William Reagin (1775-1830) married Phebe Burton and stayed in Newberry. Joseph Reagin (1763-1817) married Mary Jay, and when he died she moved to Indiana. Jesse Reagin (176901823) married Rachel Jay and remained in SC. Reason Reagin married Amy/Ann Gilbert. Another Daniel Reagin (1759-1800) married Leah Wright. She died in Indiana. I am a descendant of William Reagin (1775-1830. I don't think the name is Ryan Reagin. It is Reason. However spelled. B. Where is John Reagin (md to Elizabeth Edwards) b. 1745 from? Who were his parents? Were William, Joseph, Jesse, & Reason his sons? Was Daniel b. 1759 a brother?
