Dear Ragan/Reagan researcher(s), HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! The colonial ancestors of Timothy Ragan/Reagan who served in the Revolutionary War from the State of Maryland and lived in Pittsylvania County, VA and Caswell County, NC before the migration to Sevier County, TN in 1795 are Timothy Ragan, Sr. (grandfather) who married Mary Lary; and Timothy Ragan,Jr. (father) who married Rachel? Nelson. I have has researched these Ragan/Reagan and allied families in the State of Maryland and surrounding areas for contemporary records for almost twenty years since my last publication, THE BOOK OF RAGAN/REAGAN, was printed in 1993. It has been my personal dream to write up a new book on the colonial ancestors of Timothy Ragan, Revolutionary War soldier, from Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It will covers first three generations of Ragan/Reagan family during the colonial and revolutionary war periods. At this point, I am now working with other Ragan/Reagan researchers who have contacted me over the years on earliest Ragan/Reagan families during the colonial and revolutionary war periods. So, it is still 'work in progress', but now I do not yet know when to stop for the new book.
