Monday morning July 05, 2010 Dear Ragan/Reagan researcher(s), Your question regarding Spencer Ragan in the Ragan-Roots discussion is most welcome, our family traditions in the family of Timothy Ragan in Sevier County, Tennnessee have not indicated that Spencer Ragan is the brother of Timothy Ragan who served in Revolutionary War from the State of Maryland. It is totally unknown to us in our family. Here is the my note that I have been given on this Spencer Ragan and his family. As of now, I do not know if this Spencer Ragan fits in our first Timothy Ragan's family in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County in the State of Maryland. But I am still keeping it in the back of my mind as I continued to do research on the Ragan/Reagan families there. However, it is possible that he MAY BE (but no proof) the youngest son of Cornelius Ragan who married Anne Ayton in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This Spencer Ragan was born circa 1766 in the State of Maryland. He is too young to have served in the Revolutionary War.
