M'ellen I have Elizabeth Rogan, d/o Wm & Bridget, b. 20 Apr 1731. If Elizabeth died in 1728 at age 11, this would put her birth date 1717, same yr son John was born 3 Nov 1717. I have Bridget Rogan born to Wm and Eliz. Bridget Rogan and then death of Bridget Rogan same day...has to be child as Wm and Eliz. Brid. go on to have more kids and I assume the point of the Elizabeth Bridget constant reference is to differ her from Charles's wife...also Elizabeth Riggin/Regan in the Stafford Records. I am bothered that only Bridget is listed as mother of Kisiah in May of 1744 and William did not die until Dec. 1744 Usually a mother listed alone is a widow, or more likely, unmarried. Is it possible an unrecorded Bridget was born to this couple and she had an illeg. child? There is an Elizabeth recorded born to William and Eliz Brid. in 1717. Then there is another Elizabeth born to Wm. and Eliz. Bridget in 1731. I don't think there are 2 Elizabeth Bridgets. So, I am assuming the first Elizabeth died and then we have a second daughter. While we are at it... ho ho ho looky what I just found.......Saint Paul's Register... Elizabeth Powell born to William and Amy ( Raleigh...me) Powell 1717...Elizabeth dau of William and Amy Powell died 1728 How about them apples!... no other Elizabeth listed. This chick didn't have no Powell Rgn in 1722 ! This father William Powell died in 1745...his sons were Richard ( married to Grace XXX) Joseph...died no kids, and William who married Elizabeth Regan, dau of Charles....whoooooeee! No dau Elizabeth of William Powell' s Yeah ! Anybody want to talk Richard??? M'ellen Seriously, I could be missing something here...think I'll go find me a Powell researcher and get bashed about a bit. But I'm convinced Grace Powell's dead dau was the wife of William mentioned in the will and that's why she leaves guns to his son Powell and chickens etc to his dau Jane.
