I hope this works: Through your columns I would like to contact the descendents of DANIEL O'REGAN, a farmer in Cork County (parish unknown) whose daughter ELLEN, born 1827, left Cork during the great potato famine, and married WILLIAM HALL of Clapham, London, in 1856. Shortly afterward they emigrated to New Zealand where they lived in Hawkes Bay rearing three children, Robert, Caroline who was my grandmother, and Emma. In 1981 the descendents held a family reunion and published a book to celebrate the 125 years since William and Ellen Hall arrived in New Zealand. 466 cousins came to the party! Now I would like to meet my cousins from County Cork, so if you've ever wondered what happened to your great aunt Ellen O'Regan (or Regan, or Ragan) who emigrated for foreign shores 125 years ago please drop a line to Mrs Rae Nicholls, 12 Belgrave Place, Palmerston North, New Zealand. Hooray! It did! Cheers Rae
