Sorry. I am a bit interested in your family though because I had some family that used to live in Arkansas. My grandfather's sister (Ersa Maria RAGAN, 1895-1983) and her husband (Charles Wesley OLIVER, 1891-1967) lived in Paragould. I remember my grandfather making trips there and I remember him mentioning Little Rock. I do know there were quite a few RAGANs who moved from TN to AR. (Many of these are listed in our RAGAN-ROOTS database.) In fact the Postmaster General of the Confederate States, John H REAGAN, seems to have traveled through there a time or two. If I remember correctly his father, Timothy Richard REAGAN, died in Fulton Co., AR while on a trip from TN to TX. As for getting a copy of our database GedCom you can visit our cousin Bill REAGAN's site at: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/billreagan/ The latest copy (Jun 1999) is available there. I think the last one I sent to Bill had a little over 31,000 people in it. I should export another copy soon since we now have over 32,500 in our current file. Evelyn I now have your family entered into our database. I would be glad to enter anything else you'd care to send too. Best wishes, Michael W. We have no information prior to James Arthur born in Tennessee and would sure like to make a connection to someone. Also, can you tell me how to pick up the Ragan gedcom. I did that about 6 months ago, but have lost my notes on it. Sure would like to find a connection to someone out there. 1 James Arthur RAGAN b: November 4, 1825 d: August 4, 1910 . +Martha A (RAGAN) b: December 8, 1830 d: February 16, 1902 m: Abt. 1850 2 Martha E RAGAN b: Abt. 1851 2 Louisa Jane RAGAN b: October 22, 1854 d: December 15, 1912 ... +Ernest BROWN m: March 4, 1877 *2nd Husband of Louisa Jane Ragan: ... +John Benjamin GREGORY b: August 15, 1853 d: October 24, 1922 m: November 11, 1881 Father: Bob Gregory Mother: Margaret Word 2 William F RAGAN b: Abt. 1857 2 Theodore RAGAN b: Abt. 1859 2 Jane Flora RAGAN b: February 14, 1869 d: 1952 ... +Thomas Greenbrier BROWN b: April 10, 1855 d: August 18, 1946 m: November 1, 1885 Father: James W Brown Mother: Francis Laurena Vandegrift Prepared by Evelyn Brown 23818 Barry Lane Little Rock, AR 72210 August 18, 1999 Thanks!
