I truly appreciate it, and I'm wondering how it is that I find I now have two sets of parents for William Barney Reagan!!! I 'll have to give you a little background here---I started my trek into the past (genealogy) with some fervor back in the 1970's. My kids were patients at the Texas School of Dentistry in Houston Med Ctr; and with five kids going, I seemed to have a lot of spare time (waiting). I'm a bibliophile (booknut?) and when I was driving thru the park I discovered CLAYTON LIBRARY!!! I didn't know it was a genealogical library, but I wandered in and the librarian took me under her wing....well, I was hooked! However, I am also a person who needs to tie loose ends and find proof of everything, so she showed me how to go about proving and digging. I learned that I had to source everything--if only for me--before I set it in stone; and then it may crumble at some later date. In 1986 we moved from Texas to Florida, took the files, dogs, cats and went with the job (airline). A few years of So. Fla, we were transferred to OH (Dayton)....then a few yrs later, we were brought to New Iberia LA. Early retirement gave us the opportunity to go into a religious ministry at a house of prayer/retreat center in New Orleans. (I've got a purpose here---stick with me). While in New Iberia, we were visited by Hurricane Andrew, and he took 3 files of letters, notes, etc., from the storage area. I had put the surest of my files in the closet and saved all my proven and wills, deeds, etc, things. Fortunately, I've been blessed with a mind for details and a fairly good memory, so I begin to recognize names and such (and some have remembered me, too). Now, back in the 70-80's I remember telling several Reagan researchers that I suspected that Henry Reagan/Malinda Delozier were parents of my Reagan family. I never could find any proof of it, and I'm troubled with the 'extra parents', as I believe I'm seeing some contradictory lines. Of course, I'll get back to trying to prove what I have. I have numerous sources of proof for what I'll send: bible records, several personal interviews with family members who were personally involved with the family, military records, deeds, wills, marriage lic., etc......I'd love to be able to concretely tie it in...Any ideas???
