We are still looking for documentation of parents of James Payne and Isaac Payne. I always felt it was a James Payne as that is how the real estate was inherited by Isaac and 50 acres through the Ragan family. There was a deed to William Kennedy on waters of Abbott's Creek of 75 acres signed by Wm.. Regan, Isaac X Payne and Jane X Payne and A. H. Kennedy as shown in Deed Book 4, page 581, dated 12 Feb. 1831 in Davidson Co., N.C. Does anyone know if this is a cousin, in-law or not relation. Enough tonight... More later...
