    3. Here is an interesting bit of information I found in my files. It is from Mary Alice Ragan Green, Florahome, Florida. "My grandfather, Daniel D. Ragan, gave land and built a hard shell Baptist Church named Shiloh in N.W. Henry County, Ala. in the 1800's - now in Houston County, Ala. Some time after this, with his family, he moved back to Ga. around Cuthbert. A few years later, he moved back to Ala. "The church, in the meantime, had been changed from hard shell to Freewill Baptist. He remained there a few years and some time around 1898 or 1900 ?, he moved to Ga. again. This time settling in Cairo, Grady County, Ga. "In 1921 Oscar remodeled the church. In 1926 and 1927 he built a new church. Some time in the late 1800's Oscar furnished the land and built the Ragan School House about 5 miles North of Shiloh, in Henry County. In 1901 the school burned and he again furnished the material and a new site, rebuilding the Ragan school. In 1928, the school closed and the children were then bused." Fred Hagan
