    3. I checked with my Aunt who confirmed our family had been told by a relative that the name was changed around the turn of the century by Daniel D. Ragan. His son, my grandfather, used the name REAGAN as did my mother. It is interesting, though, that Daniel D. RAGAN, if he did indeed change the spelling of his name, was buried under the name RAGAN. Because of this, I am suspecious of the 'ol wives tale about the neighbor down the street with the poor reputation. My RAGAN/REAGAN ancestry, as far as I havae it, is: John RAGAN, b. abt 1794, South Carolina. Daniel D. RAGAN/REAGAN, b. 21 June 1850, Randolph County, Georgia, m. Sarah Ellen CULBRETH. Richard Judson REAGAN, b. 15 July 1888, Dothan, Alabama, m. Margaret Anna WALDRON. Mildred C. REAGAN, b. 27 March 1913, Jacksonville, Florida, m. Fred L. HAGAN, Sr. Fred Hagan
