Hi to all the Regan Clan! In response to your e-mail, I have been tracing my Regan roots for almost a year. With a little help and ingenuity, I find that I have living Regan relatives in Agloragh, Ballyhaunis, County Mayo. Here is what I have found: Martin Regan b 1790's, d early 1860's - wife unknown 1. Peter Regan b 1820 d 1896 - wife, Mary Armstrong Regan b 1836 d ? A. Mary Regan b 1862 - no further record B. Sarah Regan b 1864 d 1937 in Connecticut C. Margaret Regan (my g grandmother) b 1865 d 1962 in Connecticut D. John Regan b 1867 - no further record E. Peter Regan b 1870 - no further record F. Catherine Regan b. 1873 - age 26 in 1901 census - no further record G. Thomas Regan b 1876 - age 24 in 1901 census Thomas Regan had a son, Peter Regan who lived in Agloragh. All of the above came from the Mayo Family History Centre. After receiving this, I was kind of stuck past the 1901 census. I have been on a million genealogy sites and posted loads of messages to no avail. Finally I got on the telephone site for Ballyhaunis and looked at all of the Regan listings. There was one Regan listed in Agloragh - K. Regan. So I wrote a letter asking for any help and included a copy of the above list of relatives. To my surprise last month I received a card and a letter from Katherine Regan. She was married to Peter Regan who died eight years ago. She has two daughters, Alta and Mary, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Regan who lives in Manchester, England. Thomas confirmed the relationship via telephone and promised to provide further information. Coincidentally, my great grandmother, Margaret Regan, had a daughter named Alta which I think is an unusual name. So that's where I am. Would welcome any other information someone else may have. Happy New Year to all and happy hunting as well. Debbie Meno
