Hello Cousins! The following msg (posted below) comes from Gila RAGAN/HOOVER. She's looking for her RAGAN ancestors in GA. I looked through our database but wasn't able to find much to help her. So I thought I'd put this out to our group since I know some of you are researching your RAGAN/REAGAN/REGAN family in GA. If you can make a link for her go ahead and post it to the list. (We all want to hear ;-) I'd also like to announce that Gila was our 300th subscriber to RAGAN-ROOTS! Seems like that should be some kind of milestone for us. And this morning the RootsWeb server sent me another msg that we had number 301 sign up today. How about that - we're growing! I hope everyone is about ready for Christmas. It's getting close! We've been keeping pretty busy this month, not with a lot of sessions, mainly just getting Christmas orders finished and out. Remember to take your camera to any family get togethers this year! Mark and Jonathan (your relative) are listed in the 1795 tax records for Oglethorpe Co. 1795. They are both listed again in the 1800 Census for Oglethoroe Co. (page 4 & 5). Could Mark and Jonathan be brothers or cousins? I'm interested in Mark's line. I've hit a "brick-wall" with ggggrandfather was Hamilton Ragan who married Kessiah Hendon in 1812 in Oglethorpe Co. George Hamilton in his will dated 1799 left his estate in part to Hamilton Ragan upon his wife Winny's death. Could Winny be a Ragan? and is Hamilton Ragan her nephew? I have eight Ragan marriage's in Oglethorpe Co. which are not placed yet. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you in advance for all your help.
