Well, thought I would mention my brickwall again. James Ragan (spelling may vary) South Carolina early 1800's married Elizabeth ? and had at least one child while in South Carolina. My greatgreatgrandfather Peter Fleming Ragan was born January 29, 1829 in South Carolina. His siblings that I know are Sarah Jane, nothing else known about her born abt. 1834; Alfred Asa, born 1836 in GA , married twice that I know of in Texas; Mary Elizabeth married Samuel Washington Jones in GA and all their children were born in GA, they then moved to Texas staying a short while in Pelahatchie, MS; W.L. (Wade Lenard) born August 11, 1842 in GA and died June 8, 1862 in Rankin County, MS; Lucenda born 1844 in GA, nothing else known about her; J.C. (James Carol) born 1847 in GA, married Loula Crail in Rankin County, MS in December 1873. Loula died and he and his children moved to Texas where he died. So, I am still looking for the maiden name of Elizabeth and anymore information on James. Linda Ragan Giles
