Edie, This subject has been discussed several times in the past. but I don't mind bringing it up again. Sorry, but I'm not sure about the original RAGAN/REAGAN/REGAN brothers. I really do wish I knew more. In one book I have (A Quaker Headmaster, The Life and Times of Chester L. REAGAN), it mentions two brothers and claims that "One of the original REAGAN brothers that immigrated from Northern Ireland was named Thomas" (direct quote). Other than that small piece of information I have no idea. I have heard that there was a Cornelius RAGAN/REAGAN/RAGON who witnessed a will in Maryland in the 1600's. But I haven't seen it. (Anyone care to hunt that one down?) One thing I noticed is that our old Timothy RAGAN (who m. Mary LARY in 1703 in Maryland) did name one of his children Cornelius. Hmmm...
