    3. Hello All, Here is the will of William Reagin of Newberry (Silverstreet), S.C. as copied from our anscestor Bootsie Cousins of S.C. She also provided me with the will of Phoebe Burdette Burton, William Reagin's wife. I hope this info will help fill in the puzzle of the Ragan history. -Douglas Gordon Reagin ~ Will of William Reagin (1775-1830) The last Will and testament of William Reagin of South Carolina and Newberry District I the said William Reagin considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory blessed be to god for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say first that all my just Debts shall be puntually paid secondly I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife pheebe Reagin the plantation or tract of land whear on I know live containing one Hundred and Twenty seven acres ajoining lands of Robert longshore Henry Boozer and others and Also Two negros girls by the name of fillia and Isbel which said property I give to my beloved wif pheebe Reagin during life or widow hood Except Two of the first of thare children to be given to Burton W. Reagin and pheebe ann Reagin 3d. I give and bequeath to my Eldest son John E. Reagin one negro boy by the name of Henry and one horse and saddle ! 4h I give to my son Gibbeon B. Reagin one negro boy by the name Tom and one horse and saddle 5h I give to my son James J. Reagin one negro boy named Hirum and one horse and saddle 6'h 1 give to my son William D. Reagin one negro boy named Charles and one horse and saddle 7'h I give to my son Robert L. Reagin one negro boy named Ned and one horse and saddle 8'h I give to my son Kir B. Reagin one negro boy named fed and one horse and saddle 9* 1 give to my Daughter Elizabeth Liza Reagin one negro girl by the name of Harriet and one horse and saddle the said Elizabeth Liza Reagin to Receive the above named negro girl when she arives to the age of Eighteen years but not her Incres 10'h I give to my son Burton W. Reagin one horse and saddle in addition to the above named negro of the first of the Incres of my stock of negros I Vh I give to my Daughter pheebe ann Reagin one hors and saddle in adition to the above named negro of the first of the Incres of my stock of negros the said ! pheebe ann Reagin to receive hirs when she arives at the age of Eighteen years Wh I leave the balance of my lands undisposed of In the Hands of my Executors til my son gibbeon Reagin comes of ful age and then to dispose of them as tha think most benefit to all parties that is to say all my children shier and shier alike also if any of the above named negros shold die before tha receive them the Executors shall detain from the balance of the legitees till his or her shier is equal to thare who so ever it may be also the balance of my personal property undisposed of I leave in the hands of my Executors to dispose of when tha think most proper in orders to settle my Debts Lastly I her by apoint pheebe Reagin and John E.
