Michael, Finally got around to digesting the data you received from Herbert Greenwell; rather than reply to him directly I thought better to bounce these observations off the listers. FYI, I desc from Nancy Ann Ragan who m1822 William Barnhill, so my interest is with her as a child of Nathan 1749-1835. According to administration records in Dickson County TN, inventory and sale of Nathan Ragan, deceased March 2, 1835, Elizabeth Ragan, Admin; names wife Elizabeth, sons James, Nathan Jr., daughters Nancy A. Barnhill, Elizabeth Ragan. This to me clearly establishes Nancy as a dau of Nathan Sr. and [second?] wife Elizabeth, as she is shown with Nathan Jr. as a sibling. At one point I leaned toward Nancy as being a dau of Nathan Jr. in view of Nathan Sr's age when she was likely born @1802. But even Greenwell's data shows that Nathan Sr. was still fathering children Moses, Washington and George in the 1820s. So I believe Nancy should more correctly be placed as a child of Nathan Sr. Please advise if I am off the track here. Keep up the great work. Bob Bob & Judy Martin Llano TX
