This carries over into the female lines also, as Aunt Bead Bender (Isaac Payne, wife Jane/Joan Ragan of Rowan County, NC, James Payne her grandfather and her mother Sarah Francis Payne who married a Huntington) they lived into their 90's and even one son Oscar Huntington lived to just a few days short of this 102nd birthday. And mostly in good health and memory. For the most part these families lived on the land as farmers, dairymen, etc. and ate basic food raised on their land. Makes a person wonder doesn't it...
