Remember there were at least two John Rgn's of Bute NC in 1770's. There was the John Rgn/Anna Bell and John Rgn/Mary LNU who I think is connected to my Peter Rgn and a Charles Rgn Sr & Jr. This John Rgn/Mary LNU was dec'd bef 1790 as Mary is widowed according to 1790 census. So which of these Johns is the John of 1775 Safety Committe? Not familiar with Josiah Rgn. I do not see him at all in Bute NC. Could he actually be Jesse or Joseph?
