Yes, that is "where we came in" with the Riggins and your research. Bob Burton of Gainesville and I have been working on the Burtons of Adair Co. and there was a marriage of a Burton girl and David Riggins (sorry I forgot he was there in the database! variant spelling!) Bob and I were trying to place him with "anyone" in Wilkes Co., NC, as that is where the Stapps were before they moved to KY and they seemed to be close to another Burton in KY (a possible first cousin of the Hutchins Burton who was f/o Mary "Polly" Burton Riggins.) http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=annebw&id=I3878 These Burtons were genetic cousins of my line. I have no reason to connect them to the R's of my grandmother but that's only because I can't get past 1833 in Person Co.!!!!! Wouldn't it be swell to solve 2 mysteries this year? ;-) Anne At 04:21 PM 1/11/2011, you wrote: >I guess I should have read the posting before >Maryellen's..............It was your Anne..........how about >that.........what caught my eye was the 2nd link that shows a index >and one Riggins which is a David Riggins...........who is he?
