She is still alive, but not into the researching anymore.........Sylvester Gaskill was her grandfather and his father was Joseph Gaskill who married Mahala Riggin on 13 Mar 1828 in Madison Co., ILL. Mahala is the daughter of John Riggin who was married to Margaret "Peggy" Ferris. John is said have been born in Warren Co., N.C. ca1780/1785. John was married to Margaret in Tenn in 1807. John is the brother to my Henry Riggin was born in Tenn on 26 Sep 1806.............you did well Maryellen...............there was only one Mahala Riggin Gaskill that I am aware of. She passed away in ca. 1838 at the age of 30. She had 5 children. Harriet, Lucinda(named for Henry wife Lucinda Ferguson), Ellen, Sylvester Harrison and Seth W Gaskill.............go ahead and send the photos to me Maryellen...........I will take a look at them. I am not even sure that Viginia is aware of the book..........Did you happen to get a address on Ms. Koleda? I guess you are talking about Sarasota, Fl. correct?
