Terri, Hi. Thanks for the offer. I have a John H. Skipper b 1831 in NC. In 1850 he is in Union Co., NC with the Stillwell family. There is also another man, William Skipper bc 1836 also in a h/h in Union Co., NC. He is with the Houston family. I think they might be brothers. They are the only ones in Union Co. at that time. There is a marriage of a John Skipper in 1858 to an Emaline Joyner. I believe this is the same man that married Mary Jane Kissiah in Mecklenburg Co. in 1868. This couple are my great grandparents. I don't know if they came from the Cumberland or Richmond crowd. Do you have any info on this family? Also, we are supposed to be descended from George Skipper whose sister (?) Elizabeth married Solomon Quick>>>>>>I am foggy on this since I am at work. I have a copy of the will of Elizabeth Quick somewhere at home.....suppposedly a Skipper. Would appreciate any info and what I can do for you as well. Thanks, Joy Skipper Cornwell Researching all BRIGMANs who moved from Bertie/Tyrrell/Cumberland to the area in about 1745. I am researching that time period through about 1825. Their buddies were the Quicks, Gibsons, Skippers, Higgins, Ivey, Oxendine, Lowery and the lot (some of whom moved back and forth into Marlboro County). I'd be glad to share anything I have and would appreciate help from all you other Richmond researchers out there. Cheers, Terri Brigman England
