Hi, everyone. I had a researcher in Alabama copy the will of Moses Turner and send it to me. It shows that he died about 1835. The 1830 census of Tuscaloosa County gives his age as 80 to 90, so he was born in the 1740's. All of his children, I believe, were born before 1800. The only child to accompany him to Alabama was Moses, Jr. The slaves are also listed in the census by age and sex. You will notice that there were two Quick daughters. One is almost surely Solomon Quick Jr.'s wife Sarah (1770/1780--1851, Marlboro Co., SC). Who was Polly Quick? ------------------ Tuscaloosa County, AL Willbook A, p. 82 In the name of God Amen.
