My Quicks first went to U.S. in 1848, that was Richard who was born 1809 in St. Ives Cornwall U.K. He returned to U.K. then he and two of his sons, Henry and John returned in about 1870 ( they are on the U.S. Census that year. Hope you trace your James. Was he a Cornishman? If so I could check him out at the family history centre next time I am down there. Yvonne
