Can anyone identify the parents of Peggie Quick who married Benjamin Banfield. I believe they were residents of Tompkins County, NY in the early 1800's. Thanks, Georgia
I am attempting to gather information on Benjamin Quick and Hannah Joons/Jones. I believe that Benjamin Quick moved from NJ into Tompkins County and died there, but I haven't any idea what happened to Hannah. The baptismal records for two of their children can be found in the Church Register of the Walpeck Congregation and published in the Minisink Valley Reformed Dutch Church Records, 1716-1830 by the NYG&B. If anyone can help me with this family, I would be grateful. Georgia Whitson

Since I posted I've learned a bit more of this family. James QUICK and Georgianna (Ann) PATERSON of Delaware Twp., Middlesex County by License pre-registration married by Rev. Wm. Ames, Weslyan Methodist, 11 Jun 1851. Witnesses: Andrew PATERSON.....twin brother of bride. Agnes GOWANLOCK.....sister-in-law of bride's older sister. They must have married later as Ann PATERSON is listed in the 1851 Census for Delaware Twp. as living with her parents, James and Mary PATERSON, and her twin brother, Andrew PATERSON. This family was from Dumfries, Scotland and came to Ontario about 1833. In the 1878 County Atlas, a James Quick is listed in the Ekfred Twp. Con. I,19 and I, 20.......very close to Glencoe. This is the only James Quick I could find. This is as far as I've gone, but since I started this last September I'm not discouraged yet! As you can see I know little of James, but hope to find more soon. Please keep in touch. Jan
