She was his second wife, they married July 24, 1820, and came to Kentucky.Elizabeth (Conley) Quick—Died Oct. 10/19 1883, she is buried at Pleasant Ridge Kentucky Baptist Cemetery—Section 3 #46. She died at the age of 89 yrs 7 mts 15 days old After the death of Jacob , Elizabeth Quick moved to Martin Co., McCameron -twp., McCameron ,Indiana with Elijah Bobbitt and (her daughter) Mary (Quick) Bobbitt , in 1860 , Granny Elizabeth Quick was found in the 1880 census in Greene Co., Jackson twp., Indiana, with Mary (Quick) Bobbitt and Elizabeth (Todd) Bobbitt, by that time both Elijah and Columbus had both died of Pneumonic. Elijah died April 6, 1880, and Mary son Columbus, ( who was Elizabeth (Todd) Bobbitt husband) he died April 16, 1880, ten days after his father. Colnmbus was only 37 yrs,& 28 days old. They had one child that I know of: Mary Quick---Born: July 18, 1821,In Ireland Died: April 17, 1903 ,Greene Co., Jackson twp., Indiana Married Elijah Bobbitt-Aug. 25, 1841 in Boone Co. Kentucky

Dear Andy I have the coat of arms of the Quick familt in England, also explainations of the make up of those arms and some general family history relating to how the Quicks came to be in England, etc. I have traced my family, through church record in the Country Revotrds Office for Devon back to the early 1500's. Hi Maxine, My family originate from the county of Devon, next one up from Cornwall. Through church records I have been able to trace my ancestors back to about 1500. It gets a bit difficult back from there as the records if they exist are written in Latin! I know his father was Francis Okie Quick and he was married to Mary Chambers, daughter of David Lee Chambers. They met and married in the later 1800s in either Iowa or Nebraska. An 1880 census has him listed with Mary and one child 3 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. My problem is I can't even find out his parent's name. I'm thinking if I find either his marriage license or record, I might find out where to go from there. I know he died in SD near Burke, but I have been unable to locate a death certificate in either counties in and around there. How would I find such a certificate for him. I know where he is buried and when he was born and when he died. Thanks Ann Branstetter
