Hello, I have been searching for a tie to the Cole and Quick families. The Quick line in Rock Island County, IL., began around 1848. Tunis Quick and family came from Hopewell, NJ. My G-Grandfather, John Thomas Cole, was sent to IL. from ? to live with the Quick family in 1861 (age 7). I have no other traces of John Thomas Cole's father William Cole. My dad was Glenn and my cousin is Scott. We have a lot of relatives living in the So. Ca. area. Do you have any more information that you can give me? I'm not exactly sure what your looking for. Do you think that you are related are is it someone you know. Do you have any names or dates? I was 17 years old in 1961 so I don't know of any adoptions but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
