I have Quick families that were in Franklin and Miami Counties in Indiana. They track back to Thomas Theunissen Quick, who emigrated from Naarden, Holland. Who are you researching? Maybe I can help. ----- Original Message ----- From: <DDW1221@aol.com> To: <QUICK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2002 8:34 AM Subject: Re: [QUICK] Re: INDIANA 1854 - 1860 > Thank you Tod. > > I am particularly looking for Quick families in Bartholomue (sp?) and Brown > counties in Indiana, around years 1854 - 1861. > > Thank you. I have been tracking my Quick family in Centre County, and although I my family doesn't connect to yours in Columbia County, I can make a couple of suggestions given my history. I had a relative married to a Force -- that family name was in Lycoming and Centre County, so search the surrounding counties. I know I found some Quicks in the Bloomsburg area that were listed under Northumberland County. Also, there is a retail store in the Millville area called the "Cherokee Trail". They may known how to reach someone in the area with leads to researching your American Indian history. I found a book written in 1900 outlining Colonel Antes' Indian negotiations (pre-Dawes Commission). It describes many of the Eastern PA Indian settlements, but I couldn't find direct links to the "Quicks"... I'm trying to connect to the Lenape branch of the Cherokees probably in Lycoming County. Good luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: <sunny18603@yahoo.com> To: <QUICK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 3:10 PM Subject: [QUICK] Re: Glenn Quick > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TBCBAIB/703.721.2.1.2 > > Message Board Post: > > hello, i may have the wrong quick family but right now i keep running inot dead ends like my great grand parents never exsisted, his name was frank quick, and her name was marguerite quick, her maiden name was marguerite brown , to her people in the cherokee tribe in pa she was known as little fox., i would really love to learn about my great grand mom and pap, they had a daughter her name was geraldine quick, she would have been my grand mother i never knew i would any information i can get from any one, they were from the north eastren part of Pennsylvania.thank you for your time and help if able.. > ' > > > ==== QUICK Mailing List ==== > This Quick List was established primarily for the descendants of Thomas Quick, ca.1743 Bertie Co.
