Let's hear from more! >From my guidelines letter you already know that I'm Mandy Queen, listowner, but I thought I'd introduce my family. I'm a married Queen, not a born one. I've got a wonderful maiden name to reasearch, Williams and that's a whole diff other story! LOL Here are the Queen's that I'm looking for. I'll start with our family and work back. David Queen + Amanda "Mandy" Williams (my hubby & I) Thomas Glenn Queen + Ora Belle Summar Edgar Lee Queen 1910-1991 Laud. Co, TN + Viola Mauldin 1909-1995 MS-TN Benjamin "Sandy or BF" Franklin Queen 1884-1953 TN +Rosie B Wardlow Thomas Jake Queen 1850-1913 TN?-TN? + 2nd wife Katie Holmes James Campbell Queen 1819-1897 TN?-Wayne Co, TN + 1st wf Priscilla Jobe John Queen ca. 1775 - ? not known where b or d + Mary Campbell Carol Queen on this list is a relative of this family. Her hubby's gr grandfather was a bro to our Thos. Jake Queen. When I refer to "we've found" and such Carol is the one I'm referring to. We've found in research the following info: War of 1812. John Queen enlisted from Maury Co. TN May 1814 John Quinn of Maury Co.TN apppointed a hand to John Edmondson to oversee Rock Creek Rd. May 1815, Maury Co. TN William Quin is listed on inventory of Edward Beanland. William owed Beanland 50 cents due 6-19-1815. (who is he?) 4-30-1816 John Queen married in Maury Co., TN to Mary Campbell. 1816 Lincoln Co. TN Land grant of 15 acres to a John Queen. 1820 Franklin Co TN census lists John Queen family 3m -10, 1m 10-16, 1m 16-26, 1m45+, 2f -10, 3f 10-16, 2f 16-26, 1f 45+ 1820 Bedford Co TN census lists James Quinn family 210101-02101 (who is he?) John disappears. The next we see of his family is the sister to James Campbell Queen. Elizabeth Ann Queen marries Thompson Morgan in Wayne Co, TN in 1839. 1840 no Queen's and didn't find Elizabeth Queen Morgan's family but still looking. October 2, 1848 James C. Queen- Court order to oversee road work. 1850 Wayne Co., TN cen.-shows Elizabeth and husb. Thompson Morgan and family. James C. Queen not found. 1852 James C. Queen - jury duty 1860 Wayne Co., TN cen. - Both James C. Queen and Elizabeth Queen Morgan's family are in this County 1860-1897 Wayne Co. TN James C Queen was there til his death. Thomas Jake Queen, son of James C. Queen, moved to Lauderdale Co Tn area between 1880 and June 1883. He divorced his first wife in Wayne Co., TN. I'm not sure why they divorced or what the circumstances were but he came to this area where we now live and married his 2nd wife June 1883 in Tipton Co. (Co right next to our Laud border) Carol and I both are seeking information on John Queen and his descendants. I'm sure she'll want to add to this letter. Where was John Queen before 1812? Who were his parents? Where did he go after 1820? When and where did he die? Who are all those other children in his hh in 1820? We can only identify James C and Elizabeth Ann.
