Hi Gayle, Yes it is possible, my father died and was buried in Visalia, CA . His death is recorded in that county. When my mom died, there was no plot for her there. But I promised my mom that she would be laid to rest next to her husband. So I bought two plots in Modesto, CA where they are now both buried., yet all records still say Visalia for my Dad. Marian
