    3. Hello folks, In follow up to my previous email regarding my quest for a copy of Sim M. Queen's death certificate, I admit that my imagination is wandering, but please humor me. My Phillips people lived in/around Alarka, SWAIN County. I'm going to verify these next vital statistics since the living can be quite informative. :) Both my FATHER and MOTHER (and all her elder siblings) were born in ETNA, MACON County in 1921 and 1924, respectively. My father grew up in SWAIN County living, at one time, "on" Alarka (hmmm...must be Alarka Ridge?); my mother, MACON. Swain County was formed from Macon and Jackson Counties in 1871. If the USGS information is correct, WHAT GEOGRAPHICAL AREA DID the ETNA POST OFFICE COVER? (Uncle Buddy?) (Mom?) My information indicates Carrie Queen Clark's daughter, Ethel Clark, married William Bowers Phillips, my 1st cousin twice removed. Bowers Phillips died and was buried in Swain County (Dehart Cemetery) in 1948. Where was Carrie Clark from about 1941-1945, after she was widowed on/about 1918. Could she have been living with her daughter, Ethel Phillips, in Swain County? After her mother, Mary Etta, died in 1941, could her father, Sim M., have been living and/or visiting with Carrie (his daughter) and Ethel (his granddaughter) at the time of his death in 1944? In SWAIN County? Would the descendant researching Carrie Etta Queen kindly contact me? For that matter, ANYBODY with descendant information on Carrie Queen Clark contact me? Thank you kindly, Gayle Phillips Cantrell gpcantrell@home.com What's my line?
