    3. Hi Carol and all, Just keeping the list posted in case something rings a bell with someone. Actually, equally interested in this James Queen from TN. Wonder who his pa was and if his pa wandered over to TN from NC? A bit more info concerning Mary Elvara Queen family of Stone County, per Teresa Keel query: James Queen (b. 1831 Bedford Co, TN m. 5-5-1853 Independence Co., AR d. Memphis, TN during Civil War) m. Delia (Deliah) Jane Tate (d. >1870<1880) ....John Queen (d. 1880) ....William Queen (d. 1880) ....Jeremiah (Jerry) Queen ....Mary Elvara Queen (b. 11-1862 m. Stone Co., AR d. 8-1879 buried Timbo Cemetery, Stone Co., AR) m. Robert Looney Farris (b. 8-1861) James Queen joined 2nd Arkansas Cavalry, Co. C. After he was killed in the CW, Delia Tate Queen m. Andrew Branscomb/Branscum in 9-1868 in Independence Co., AR. Some of these folks were listed on 1870 Searcy Co., AR, Locust Grove Twp census. We also understand that some Queen (or Queens) were on the 1880 Stone Co. census (Stone Co. was formed in 1873 from Izard, Independence, Searcy and Van Buren counties. County seat is Mountain View).
