Hi all, Thanks to Betty, Paulette and Nancy for their response to my earlier msg. I may be going over the same old ground; but sometimes little tidbits are lying there unseen. Comment/Question: Betty Knight's post from ancestry.com list's the bride of William Queen as "Ann Patton". (There is no "Mary" in front of the "Ann"). Has anyone on the list viewed the actual bond and can it be stated emphatically that the bond, in fact, does NOT contain the word "Mary"? It may have been Betty who sent some info months ago from Rabun in which Samuel Queen mentions his daughter-in-law, "Anna" Queen, wife of his son, William. He further mentions his grandson, Samuel....as I recall. *************Perhaps I should have asked this earlier, but who do list members believe to be the father of this William Queen who married Ann Patton? And, smile, why?********* Joshua Hall being the bondsman for the couple should be a clue, but I can't grasp it just yet. Samuel being in Haywood in 1820 and 1830 somewhat near William L. and kids is also a clue, but what? I'll keep pondering, but will welcome ideas of any and all. Thanks, Gene
