The specific data was located in the "Gerow Family Database" at worldconnect. Anyone who uses this data should be aware of the following: 1. The "4 May 1878" date of death for Alfred Queen listed in that particular database is incorrect, based upon personal conversations I had with some of the oldest living descendants of Alfred in the early 80's. (Alfred died before his wife) However, the above date is the exact date of death of Alfred's wife, my g. g. grandma, Polly Queen, as reported in church records. 2. A number of members of this list are convinced that the Joseph Queen living "next door" to my Samuel Queen of the 1830 Haywood census was the younger man in that household of 1830 and that the older man was William Queen. If true, then a Joseph Queen (b. ca 1740/50) did not exist in that household and would certainly be ruled out as the father of my Samuel (b. ca 1776/1780). Based upon this information and its conflict with my earlier assumption, I have concluded that more data is needed before any determination can be made regarding the father of my Samuel (b. ca 1776/1780). I welcome any evidence, that I have not already provided to this list, which suggests a possible link of this Samuel and Joseph. Thanks, Gene
