Hi All, On the 4 May, 1910 census Morganton Township,Burke Co., NC. There is listed as one of Pinkney Gaither Queens', a child by the name of Dolphus D.(,age 0/12) a son. That child is my father Pinkney Grant Queen b. March 30, 1910, d. January 24, 1989. I asked my mother why the name was that way and she told me, Sarah Ann (my grandmother) told her that was what Pinkney Gaither told the census taker, But Grandma told him, that child was not going to named Dolphus and the name was put on the birth certificate as Pinkney Grant Queen. I just wanted everyone to have the correct information. The name Junie, is officially June Jamison . I have information on all of Pinkney Gaither Queen and Sarah Ann Dale's children and if anyone would like to have it, please let me know.
