    3. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Haywood County. To the Auditor of the State of North Carolina: We certify that we have carefully examined the application of Sallie C. Queen the widow of the late John M. Queen, who enlisted in Company C , 62 Regiment North Carolina State Troops, for a pension under the provisions of a act entitled "An act to amend chapter 674 of the Laws of 1907, for the relief of certain Confederate Soldiers, Sailors and Widows," ratified March 8, 1909, and the proofs filed in support thereof; that we are satisfied the said Sallie C. Queen is a widow of the late John M. Queen, who enlisted in Company C, 62 Regiment North Carolina State Troops, on or about the 14 day of July 1862. We certify the following allegations set forth in her applicataion to be true, namely: That she is now a widow; that she is, and has been for twelve months immediately preceding this Application for Pension, a bona fide resident of North Carolina; that she holds no office under the United States, or under any State or county, from which she is receiving the sum of three hundred dollars as fees or as a salary annually; that she is not worth in her own right, or the right of her late husband, property at its assessed value for taxation to the amount of five hundred dollars ($500), nor has she disposed of property of such value by gift or voluntary conveyance since the 11th day of March, 1885, and therefore her application is correct and just under the act. Jerry R. Leatherwood Clerk Superior Court (IMPRESS COUNTY SEAL HERE). Approved: J. G. Shelton Illegible D. L. Boyd County Pension Board
