Fortunate that much work has been done by relatives from W Virginia, USA (originally Virginia). We have verification going back from USA of Charles Queen (previously Charles McQueen of Ireland). Then there we loose track, but believe that this person came from Scotland and was originally a MacQueen. Our ancestor dropped the Mc so that he could claim some free land in America. I had not imagined that there might be Queens still in Scotland.
