Question/comments for Carl or anyone interested in the Haley Family... Are you familiar with the book "Haley and Related Families" by Edward Franklyn Haley, copyright 1979 by Eva F. Haley? My wife descends from the Haley family. Haleys lived in Louisa and Hanover County of the colony of Va in 1737; Brunswick County in 1741; Goochland, Halifax, etc. Some Haleys moved on into Kentucky and North Carolina. They were Quakers. From the book, "Ursula Haley...was married to a Crews. On the 13th of April, 1771, she was given a 'paper of denial' for marrying out of unity, 'by an hireling priest.'" I'd be willing to do some lookups if desired.
