The Lightening Capital; Florida: On 5/04/05 our telephone line got zapped by a very loud lightening strike. On came the house alarm, off went the internet and telephone. Fortunately we had a "telephone protection" device from the local tele company. 5/05/05 was a very important day--and I missed it: I understand it was Rolla Queen's Birthday and I was going to suggest a Hap/Birth/ Tnk U to the creator of our Queen Website. [applause, please] How about e-mailing Rolla at [email protected] and wishing him a belated Happy Birthday! and give him praise for a job well done. It is a continuous process, and he [and Gene] has become our in-house authority on DNA and arranging the chart to show our Queen relationships. He's out of town about now--a family funeral--so e-mail whenever you get a chance this weekend to say-- Thanks, King Rolla !!!!!!! Handmaiden, 'er --matron, Katy

I also very much appreciate all that King Rolla has done for Queen Research including his digesting of YDNA statistical/genetic data and helping us understand what in the wide world of sports it's all about. In the months and years to come it would be well to find ways to bring in samples representing other "old" Queen lineages not yet identified as to parentage. I'm thinking of Meredith Queen (b. ca 1815) of the Rutherford County area and "old" Richard Queen. Who are some of the other early Queens that are not yet linked to a YDNA sample? Let's build a list and see what we can come up with. Gene
