Getting lots of notices from FTDNA of matches/close matches at 12/25/37/67 markers only to find that the donor is not a "Queen" or have already concluded that 12 or 25 marker matches aren't necessarily important to track? FTDNA has an answer for you. Go to your donor webpage at FTDNA and select "Setup Preferences". There one has the option to restrict announcements to (Queen) surname only. Also may wish to deselect the box for notification at 12 markers or 25 markers. This will reduce the announcements to Queen only and for matches at 37 or 67 markers only. I have no recommendation as to what will best serve anyone; however I have made some decisions to reduce the announcements and listings for myself. Gene
