Jean & Gene Jackson <genejean@sprynet.com> asked: Mandy, Now are you saying that Francis's will was recorded in 1803? Where was this information found?? Jean Info copy/pasted from Reiley Kidd's website, http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/2864/ on page: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/2864/queendata.html 1803 - an Iredell Co. NC will written 24 March 1799 and filed in 1803 ( Francis may have died earlier) names "wife Margret...beloved son James (who owns land in Iredell Co. at the writing of the will)....beloved daughters Margret and Elizabeth and son Joseph..when he arrives at 21 years of age, ...and son David... and daughter Polly (‘ my youngest’). Will mentions James McBroom, names Joseph Nichols executor, and was witnessed by Joseph Millsaps and James McHargue. The three youngest (Joseph, David and Polly) are apparently under 21. Had considerable land. No date - is referred to as an American Rev. War soldier from NC in Pierce’s Register, APPENDIX, p. 622, #14 Francis Queen.
