Maraday (Meredith)QUEEN b. July 11, 1823 in North Carolina, Rutherford or Lincoln Co. m. 1st wife Sarah Lavinia Summey in Lincoln Co. N.C. on Sept 25, 1843 m. 2nd. Winnifred A. Neal from Grenada Co, Mississippi Died; April 27 1907 in Hardeman Co., Tenn These Queens left Lincoln Co., N.C. and went to Tippah Co, Mississippi. With them went Maradays parents George Queen and his wife Nancy. They both died in Miss. and were buried in New Hope Cemetary, Benton Co., Miss. George died in 1877 and Nancy died in 1854. Maraday Queen was quite well know in the town he lived in and was President of the Board of Supervisions of Benton Co. Sometime after 1876 ( I assume probably after his fathers death in 1877) he moved his family to Hardeman Co,Tenn where his wife Winnifred died on Dec 17, 1905 and he died on April 27, 1907. He is buried in the town of Grand Junction, Hardeman Co., Tenn. Hopefully this will help a bit or spurn someone to tell their information. I love all of your information that is shared.
