Hi Eugene, Just happened to come across a marriage record for Pleasant while doing research in Blairsville on Thursday. Recorded in Union Co. Marriage Book 1A; page 7, it reads: Lisons[sic] recorded granted to Plesent[sic] Quin and Miss Martha Loyd granted by J.M. Roberts (letters following name are illegible). Solemnized by A. Chastain, J.P. on May the 23 day 1839 Granted May 21 day 1839 David W. Hawkins C.C.O Pleasant and Martha had been married for 11 years at the time of 1850 census so it appears she is not the mother of Louisa.
