Hi All, I thought I would pass on some info given to me by a professional genealogist who had given a lecture. What brought it to mind was Phil Minch's discussion of estate sales. The lecturer said that "look closely at those who purchased items at estate sales. They are most likely and almost always close relative." So, I would take the fact that WAQ was a buyer at James' estate to indicate that he was related. Of course, it would be nice to have more documents that would back up that fact. Another fact that the lecturer presented was that "when a will states that a person was the deceased's 'good friend', the term is used to indicate that the person referred to was either a step child or in law."
