Hate to leave you with a teaser, but the most recent results reflect a 24/25 marker match between another ancestor of Francis Queen and myself. Since the other participant and I can trace back to a known common ancestor, in this case, our 3rd great-grandfather, David Queen, it is almost certain now that Francis and his descendants represent a distinct group of Queens and are not related at all to the other confirmed Queen groups. There is always an outside chance that David, himself, could be the result of an extra-marital event and that he does not reflect Francis' YDNA profile. But we are playing the odds here, and the documents and the odds say this is highly unlikely. So for the Francis Queen descendants, it remains for us to find at least one male donor from the other two sons of Francis Queen to nail this down for sure. And then there is the issue of Francis himself. But we are hot on the scent. But speaking honestly, I feared the worst. So now I rest easier and can carry the perfumed scent of respectibility for a little while till we find the next donor. Therefore I hereby proclaim that Group 3 Queens, descended from Francis, Iredell County, NC, from Ireland, sometime in the 1700s, is a Confirmed and distinct Group. Give me a couple of weeks to enjoy before someone bursts my bubble. So while Gene is off resting, I'll take over the battle cry - Can someone help me find Francis' pa?!
