Tinkering just a bit this afternoon with Moses data. Someone shows him as a son of Wm. L. Queen, Sr of 1749 and that he, Moses, was born in Wilkes Co., Ga. I will certainly appreciate any data or clues to support this possibility. First NC record of which I'm aware is the sale of 100 acres of Rutherford County land on Coxes Creek from Wm. L. Queen, Sr. on 4-18-1809 to Moses Queen. (Okay, here's a clue.) On 7-16-1810 Moses sold the Rutherford County land to Michael Hufstiller. The 1810, 1820, 1830 and 1840 Burke County, NC census lists Moses. 1840 Burke also lists a Jas Quinn with 4 sons (?) and 2 daus(?) in household. The age fits for a James C. Queen. All help on Moses appreciated. Thanks, Gene
