    3. Add my name to that also - there has been so little written about this branch of the Queen's I was on the verge of quitting this list figuring it would not profit me any. Thanks Rolla! By the way I am a descendent also from my Father Clyde Queen, Henry Queen, Harrison Queen, Cornelius Queen (from WV thru Ohio) and John Queen. A lot of the names on the list are also my ancestors, i.e., Seabourne, Hunt, Gallagher, Ruggles, etc. (hey Caledonia is a small town - intermarriage, etc). ========== On Jun 25, 2007, at 10:53 AM, billycurtisjr@tnni.net wrote: > > They are descendants of Charles Queen and Mary Haley from Harrison > County, Va. 3. OK. My question for you is this: 1) Is there anyone from this line represented in the DNA study? 2) I am trying to deal with coincidence. With so many people mentioned in this migration from 4th Creek in Iredell County, NC, to Missouri, along with a whole bunch of Queens, it seems to stretch belief that these Queens had no connection with my Queens in the Brushy Mountains of NC, in the NW corner of Iredell County. So what does the DNA tell us about this group of Queens that went to Missouri - and if there are no Queens represented in the DNA study from this group, and you guys are related to them, then what does your DNA say in our current study. Seems like this is an area begging for some explanation!! Enlighten me on this group. thanks Rolla

    3. I am totally baffled - cannot figure it out. I (like you I think) do not believe the story about accepting a commission in the British Army, etc, etc. Having said that - how the heck did Charles come up with the money to purchase that many acres in WV??? I was hoping for a DNA connection to one of the other branches but thus far it has not occurred. ============== On Jun 25, 2007, at 7:18 PM, Rolla Queen wrote: > OK. 2. Our Queen families were and are Catholic. They migrated from Md to KY to Indiana. I often wonder where they split up religion-wise.  Sue -----Original Message----- From: Rolla Queen <rolla.queen@charter.net> To: 'Skip Queen' <papanohair@mac.com>; billycurtisjr@tnni.net; QUEEN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 25 Jun 2007 6:18 pm Subject: Re: [QUEEN] Queens in Missouri OK.
