OK. Queen listers. I just posted a new webspreadsheet for the Queen results with a revised lineage sheet http://webpages.charter.net/rlqueen/DNA/queenmarkerlineage.htm What is new is that I have added some twists and revisions to the display of the lineage data to make the thing look more generational than it was. What you will see are the direct male ancestors for a specific male DNA donor as reported to me. You will notice that between some individuals there may be one or may blank white spaces. These can be ignored. What I am trying to do is sort of match up the folks who are born with a certain time range - or generational range. But for some of these, I have place a solid black fill. This means that the age range between the two individuals on the direct line is outside the norm, and we need to confirm that, hypothetically speaking, an 80 year old man did father the next person in the line. Or we need to make sure I have entered the correct birth years for these ancestors. You will notice that I have reorganized some of the groupings of individuals within Group 1 to stir the brain cells and put some possibilities on the table. So if your ancestor don't be liken' who he be sittin' next to, then you better come at me with something stronger than "Dagnabbit!, That can't be right!" Bring some data to boot! I am also asking for FTDNA to answer a few questions about the interpretation of the 464 marker set, which I think we may be looking at incorrectly, and mutations there may hold the key to some larger questions. I will also point out that there are several donors for whom I have no direct male ancestry at all - and this does cripple the overall analysis, especially for Group 1 at this point. Since I am not in Group 1, I guess I should care not, but I have grown accustomed to you guys, mutations and all, and I think it would be a great story if we could piece all these various threads together into a cohesive story. I feel we are only one or two donors and mutations away from a breakthrough here! So let's get that information in so I can include it in the spreadsheet. As for the rest of us mutants, just because we don't got lots of matches, don't mean we shouldn't be trying to answer some questions. Let's not shrug shoulders and walk away. The answers are out there. We just need to keep scratching and sniffing till something smells! Rolla
