Sue, We will take it one step at a time. 1) Dont worry too much about the numbers for the results. The meaningful information at this point is this. 2) The DNA matches perfectly at the first 12 markers with another Queen DNA participant (25551) who traces back to Samuel Queen born in the 1600s in Maryland. This is a cautionary match since we need additional results to be certain, but based on past experience, the match looks pretty solid. Your results for James and the results for the other Queen participant are grouped together on my webpage under the Group 2 (Samuel Queen) heading. 3) We know that the Marshams and the Queens were intertwined in this group, and since your first Queen descendant is Richard Marsham Queen and you can trace back through documents to the Maryland Queens, we know that at least that part of your line is connected but you do not have DNA for this line. 4) The sample for James Queen matches the 25551 sample, therefore, James and Richard must have been related through a common male line, and were probably brothers, cousins, or 2nd cousins. 5) Both your James and Richard Queen lines trace back to Samuel Queen of Maryland. You need to be in contact with the participant 25551 for more information on this line. If he is monitoring this email, he should get in touch with you so you guys can talk. How is that for starters? I don't know what they mean. Is he connected to the other Queens who migrated from MD to KY? How would I know who his family connections would be. I have two Queen linages. The earliest is Richard M. Queen-Charles County MD to Washington, KY. Parents unknown He was made the ward of William Montgomery. James M. Queen born 1820- died 1863 during the Civil War. He was buried in Danville KY.
