I think we can all agree that most of us Queens prefer the relaxing life, regardless of the geographic, linguistic, or firearm constraints put on some of us. Let us not forget that there was gold in Rutherford County as well. My mother often spoke of her great grandfather's gold mine. I don't know which branch of the family tree, but I sure know it didn't make me rich. The Poteet side of my family had several miners in the census in McDowell County. These days the flatland touristers can pan for gold in much the same area for a nominal fee. --Phil Minch--
